The Well

Hi, I’m Dr. Emma!

My goal is to help you move better, feel better, and get back to doing the things you enjoy. I believe every patient is unique, so I take the time to listen to your concerns, understand what’s causing your symptoms, and create a treatment that’s tailored to you.

My approach is evidence-based and patient-centered, combining chiropractic care with rehabilitation exercises, movement education, and practical lifestyle advice.

I also believe that understanding your body is an important part of recovery. I’ll work with you to explain what’s going on, answer your questions, and give you the tools and confidence to manage your pain.

To better support my patients, I’ve completed additional training in RAPID Neuro Fascial Reset, The Be There Mental Health Certificate, and the 2SLGBTQ+ Foundations Certificate through Rainbow Health.

It is never too early or too late to start prioritizing your health (and taking care of yourself should be fun!!)

Dr. Kaitlyn Trainor was born and raised in Charlottetown and graduated from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2020.

Early in practice, she noticed a gap in care when it came to babies and new parents. This sparked her to take numerous courses to further her education on the treatment of infants and children.

Word of mouth spread quickly and she has developed a reputation as the go-to person for all things baby-related. Parents often bring babies in for latch issues, plagiocephaly, torticollis, gas/colic, constipation, and post-tongue tie revision rehabilitation.

Dr. Trainor is certified in the Webster’s technique for pregnant women. This specific assessment and treatment is focused on balancing the joints, muscles and ligaments. The goal is not only to improve mom’s comfort, but also balance the pelvis and ligaments so baby has the best chance to get into proper position for delivery.

Treatments with Dr. Trainor are always tailored to patients’ individual condition, preferences and comfort level. This may include joint manipulation/mobilization, soft tissue therapy, photobiomodulation (low level laser therapy), functional acupuncture and hopefully some laughter, too.

When it comes to infants and kids, treatments look very different. The hands-on treatment involves light pressure to various points of tension (no crazy or quick movements with the little ones!) with lots of explanation and parent education.
